Service Guide - Prepaid Calling Cards

USOC: PPAYCC

Description

This service allows callers to purchase specified amounts of Frontera domestic and international calling capability in advance in the form of a Frontera Prepaid Card. As you place and complete your calls over the Frontera network according to the instructions on the Frontera Prepaid Card, your total available calling is reduced at a specified rate per minute of use.

Terms and Conditions

"You" and "Your" mean current or potential customers of this Frontera service.

Frontera means Frontera Telecommunications, Inc. and any Frontera Telecommunications affiliates authorized to provide you with Frontera services.

1.  To participate in this service, you must:

  • Have a Frontera Prepaid Card(s) that has a sufficient available balance(s) to complete your call.
  • Access Frontera Prepaid Card Service via the toll free 800 number printed on the card from a touch tone telephone.

2.  This service includes the following types of calls:

  • Frontera customer-dialed in-state, state-to-state, and international calls that are:
    • Placed via the 800 number shown on the Frontera Prepaid Card,
    • Completed according to the instructions on the Frontera Prepaid Card, and
    • Completed without the assistance of a Frontera Operator.

3.  This service includes the following features:

  • Frontera Prepaid Cards may be used to place and complete domestic and international calls over the Frontera network from most touch tone telephones twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Your calls must be charged against a Frontera Prepaid Card that has an available balance. At the beginning of each call an announcement will indicate the balance available on your Frontera Prepaid Card.
  • Your call will be interrupted with an announcement when your available balance drops to one minute, based on the terminating location of the call. On certain cards you will be asked to enter another valid Frontera Prepaid Card number to continue the call. If the balance on your Frontera Prepaid Card is insufficient to continue and/or you fail to enter the number of another valid Frontera Prepaid Card prior to termination, Frontera will terminate your call.
  • For Frontera Unit Option Prepaid Cards, your balances will be reduced by the appropriate number of units for each minute or fractional part of a minute that your call continues.
  • For Frontera Dollar Option Prepaid Cards, your balances will be reduced by the appropriate price for each minute or fractional part of a minute that your call continues.
  • Frontera will give you a credit of one minute for Frontera Prepaid Card Service calls if any one of the following occurs:
    • You experience poor transmission or get cut off during the call,
    • You reach a wrong telephone number (unit option cards only).
    • Credit will not be given when interruptions are caused by the failure of systems not provided by Frontera and by the failure of other Frontera services connected to Frontera Prepaid Card Service.
    • To receive a credit, you must notify a Company representative of the problem experienced by calling the Customer Service Number on the prepaid card.
  • Frontera Prepaid Cards that have special logos considered to be of a collectible nature, may be offered at a price higher than the rates specified in this Service Guide. The premium value attached to the card is independent of its value/rate as a mechanism for completing long distance calls. These collectible cards will show the total usage value for completing calls on one side of the card and may display the collectible value on the opposite side of the card.
  • Some Frontera Prepaid Cards have a feature where you may purchase or "recharge" additional units of service to an existing prepaid card. Provided your Frontera account is in good standing, these cards may be recharged in increments of 60, 100, 200 and 300 units up to a maximum of 900 units or $225 per card. All recharge units of Frontera Prepaid Card Service must be paid for by credit/charge card and will be added to your prepaid card within one day after your credit/charge card has been verified. Recharge rates are shown in the Rates and Charges section below.
  • On cards so equipped, the following optional features are available:
    • Customers may arrange a three-way (caller plus two other participants) conference call. Card balances will be decreased one unit for each minute of set up time plus three additional units for each minute of call duration. Set up time and call duration that results in a fractional part of a minute will be rounded up to the next higher full minute.
    • Customers may access NPA-555-1212 to obtain telephone listings. Card balances will be decreased five (5) units per call.

4.  This service may not be combined with any other plans or offers unless Frontera notes otherwise.

5.  Frontera will provide the benefits of this service until one or more of the following events occur:

  • Frontera changes and/or discontinues this service.
  • All available balances on your Frontera Prepaid Card(s) are depleted.
  • The expiration date of your card is reached (where applicable).
